Natural medicine is a treasure trove of plant, animal and mineral products. Today's medicine takes on the healing experience of ancient times, as it vigorously investigates the many beneficial effects of natural bile acids all over the world. No other herb or animal product has so many beneficial effects on the body as natural bile acids.

What we know about bile acids

Bile acids are transported with the bile to the intestinal tract and are involved in making dietary fat and cholesterol more soluble. Once it has completed its task, bile acid undergoes metabolic changes and is absorbed into the blood in the lower small intestine and the large intestine, where it is recycled back to the liver and the process starts again. Our body circulates 2-3 grams of bile acid 5-10 times a day, losing 10-20% of it through the faeces, which is normally replaced in the liver.

New results from bile acid research

1. Disturbance in the circulation of bile acids

Because of our unhealthy diet and the frequent use of certain medicines (antibiotics), almost everyone's gut flora is nowadays damaged. Therefore, even in healthy people, the absorption of bile acids is impaired, so bile acid loss increases. The deficiency can no longer be covered by the liver's bile acid replacement and countless diseases begin. Of course, the resulting intestinal diseases (inflammations, adhesions, chronic diarrhoea) further aggravate this negative process.

2. The consequences of bile acid deficiency

a.) Bile acids enhance intestinal peristalsis, thus helping to prevent anxiety disorders.

b.) Their reduced amount impairs the bile acid/cholesterol ratio in bile and thus the gallstone formation is a direct cause of. In its absence, less is also released into the blood and thus prevent calcification of the vascular wall their existing protective effect is also reduced.

c.) In their absence severe, chronic disturbance in the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K), which can cause visual impairment, bone formation disorders, blood clotting disorders and accelerated ageing.

d.) Bile acids in the intestine neutralisation of toxinseb have an important role to play. In particular, they protect our bodies from endotoxins released by bacteria in inflammation.

e.) Bile acids have a proven immune stimulant or immune transduction effect, therefore their absence prolonged chronic inflammation or even cause allergies.

f.) Bile acids destroy pathogens (viruses, bacteria), in their absence, the body's so-called non-immune defences are significantly weakened.

g.) Bile acids are important in the healing of all surface lesions of the intestinal mucosa, and in their absence there is a greater tendency to ulceration.

h.) In the case of diets have a beneficial effect on fat metabolism.

Bile acid can be replaced

Given the myriad of chronic diseases - such as high blood pressure, atherosclerosis and its consequences, biliary diseases, indigestion, allergic diseases, inflammation, osteoporosis, ulcers, chronic headaches, migraine, etc., is of great importance in the treatment of bile duct diseases, and therefore bile acid products of animal origin should be chosen.
