It cannot be ignored that stress has a significant impact on the whole digestive system, including bile production/void. The disturbance of bile production/discharge reduces or suspends a very important defence system of the body, the so-called physico-chemical defence based on the detergent action of bile acids, without which the body is defenceless against the attack ("translocation") of certain toxins (e.g. endotoxins) and so-called "big viruses" (e.g. herpes group) in the intestine
