Customer question about taking GALLMET capsules

In short: After 4 months of continuous abdominal problems, after 1 week of taking Gallmet-Mix capsules, my symptoms have decreased significantly and I am very grateful for that.

I'll write it in longer form, in case it helps or just encourages someone. Four months ago I started to feel an unusual sensation in my abdomen, mainly on the right side. I wouldn't call it pain, more of a tight, pressing feeling. Whether I ate or not, this sensation and the constant bloating was ever present. I tried in vain to avoid all kinds of allergens, I ate gluten, lactose and egg free, nothing helped. During this period I had three blood counts with almost ideal values, the only ones were elevated bilirubin levels and a dip in two. I also had two abdominal ultrasounds where nothing else was found apart from severe bloating. These were some positives, but the constant and increasing complaints were ruining my daily life and well-being.

On the advice of a gastroenterologist, I first started on Normix, which was ineffective, and then took pancreatic enzymes: this alone didn't help, but then I found Gallmet-Mix capsules and the next day I felt much better. I've been taking it for a week, 4-6 capsules a day, depending on how fatty my food is.

ANSWER: You are right to make the number of capsules dependent on the fat content of the food, but above 3 capsules a day, if you have nausea, vomiting or minor diarrhoea, don't increase the number of capsules too much, otherwise use as many as you feel comfortable with.

I have two questions about the capsules:

1: The instructions say to take immediately before meals. I do this by taking the current amount, but I also send the first bites straight away. Is this correct, or should I wait a few minutes?

ANSWER: Either way is fine, whichever you prefer, but if you use it with a meal it's still fine just don't bite the capsule. As a last resort, if you forget, you can take it one at a time, right after a meal.

Is it necessary to take the capsule on an empty stomach, as two meals may be taken on top of each other.

ANSWER: No problem, but we recommend that you take it just before meals.

2: How well does the capsule protect its contents in the stomach?

ANSWER: this capsule is special, intestinosoluble, i.e. it is resistant to acidic gastric juice (pH 2-3) and only disintegrates in the duodenum, where the bile duct is connected and where the bile flows into the duodenum, which is alkaline (pH 5-7). So it does not act in the stomach. You could say, in today's fashionable terminology, that it is a "smart capsule" or a "smart product".
