I often have inflammatory bowel disease and lazy bile flow. Can I take GALLMET bile acid capsules?

Reflux, inflammation of the bowel

Hi, I am histamine and fructose intolerant, but I often have inflammation of the intestines and lazy bile production. I've been looking at GALLMET bile acid capsules for a long time, but I can't take the capsules, can I take them in powder form /if I open the capsule/?

Thank you!"

Dear K!

Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately, the capsule should not be opened and the powder inside should not be introduced into the stomach for the following reasons:

1. The active ingredient in the capsule is so bitter that it is inedible.

2. The capsule is a special, intestine-soluble capsule that is resistant to gastric juice, so it does not disintegrate in the stomach but in the duodenum.

3. If this powder is administered directly into the stomach, it may have a carcinogenic effect, although with a very small chance.

4. It is recommended that you put the capsule in your mouth and try to swallow it with a large amount of water, taking many sips.

5. Alternatively, he may chew a bite of food and after chewing, he does not swallow it, but takes a GALLMET capsule in his mouth and swallows it with the chewed food.

We wish you good health.
