Association between diabetes and bile acids

Association between diabetes and bile acids

The secretions of the bile and the pancreas are discharged into the duodenum through the same orifice. If the bile is stagnant, for example because of a bad meal, too much coffee, stress, etc., the enzymes cannot be properly excreted. But not only do the digestive enzymes not flow, but over time the stagnant enzymes also erode the pancreatic lining and the insulin secreting glands are damaged. In addition, if someone eats too many calories over several months, they can develop diabetes.
