It is related to the psoriasis with bile production. 551 patients with psoriasis were studied and given bile acids for 8 weeks, 78% of them were cured. In the control group, who received conventional treatment, this did not reach 25%.

In the mild condition, 95% were cured after bile acid treatment, and 2 years after treatment 80% were still asymptomatic.

This effect of bile acids is due to the fact that they neutralise endotoxins. Endotoxins are internal toxins that are produced by the breakdown of bacteria in our intestinal tract. Bile prevents these internal toxins from entering the bloodstream.
