If food is broken down in the digestive tract through fermentation and putrefaction rather than proper digestion, the beneficial gut flora in the stomach and intestinal wall can be damaged. Binge eating, a stressful lifestyle, too much coffee and carbohydrate consumption can also disrupt pancreatic function. Fermented food can destroy the bacterial flora in the body. A shift in the proportion of bacterial flora is conducive to the development of various fungal diseases, including Candida. So instead of being infected, Candida, which is already in low germ counts, proliferates.

Symptoms of Candida multiplying in the abdomen are bloating, especially when eating sweets. It may also cause abdominal cramps, a feeling of fullness, irregular and dilute bowel movements.

It is worth intervening in the process until the following chain reaction is triggered:

The reduced digestive enzyme and bile production upsets the bacterial flora, which leads to an overgrowth of Candida, and then the many fermentation and putrefaction processes trigger an irritation of the intestinal mucosa. This further deteriorates the bacterial flora and digestive enzyme production. The irritated intestinal wall can then leak all sorts of substances into the bloodstream, which can then cause joint and skin problems and food intolerances.

The aim of the intervention is to improve digestion and maintain the gut flora. This can be achieved, for example, by taking bile acid supplements.
